Amazing how loyal Tiger fans can justify such behavior on the course......damaging the green by throwing an infantile tantrum is just poor behavior and etiquette and completely inexcusable.....Tiger should be embarrassed and ashamed of his behavior yesterday. My 7 year old son (who loves Tiger) knows better.....and so should Tiger. This should be something we would all agree on....regardless of who your favorite golfer is.....and folks shouldn't be recklessly branded "haters" because they speak out against boorish behavior by Tiger in tournament play.
If it was Phil, Sergio, or Ernie, all the blind Tiger loyalists would be screaming for a suspension.
Incidentally, a couple of years ago during a round at a nice public course in my area, a playing partner did the exact same thing after missing a putt. The group behind saw it and reported it to the marshall. The marshall surveyed the damage to the green, and two holes later, my partner was being escorted to the parking lot......no questions, second chances or refunds.....and rightly so.....but his name is not Eldrick Woods.
