I got sent an email from GO last night telling me it was still in existence. I even remembered my old password. Lovely to see one of the forums that started it all is still around. Look forward to contributing.

Nice new board software too guys but I still remember the green and beige!

Got the email as well and logged back in to see what was new. Don't spend as much time on golf DBs anymore but nice to see that GO is still alive.

Traffic seems pretty light but perhaps that will pick up over time.

Here. likewise, due to the e-mail.  Used to lurk at GO and don't know why I stopped.  Been years since I pulled up this site.

We've been having this discussion on another board re the lack of participation in a golf discussion board.  Traffic has fallen off on many of the boards over the past few years.  Participation in the Game of Golf has declined over that same time.  We could cuss and discuss the reasons for that, but a few posters on a golf forum can't change it.

It's still a great game!!  Will lurk... and possibly enter a few posts... in an attempt to assist in getting this board re-energized.  The more people we can keep interested in the game, the better the game will treat us all.

Welcome gents, or should I say welcome back. With the exception of about a dozen of us, it has been pretty quiet around here for a few years.  Lets see what happens with new owners.

I remembered the site because it was my first golf forum. I tried to access it several times in the last year of so, but could not. Got the email as well and here we are again. Looking forward to posting here again. Thanks for the email.

Been out for a couple years with a bum shoulder, can finally swing without pain. Found GO again, and pleased to see I still recognize a number of user names. Can't wait for spring!

I had a problem with my shoulder too.  Ended up with "frozen shoulder" related to an injury that I have no idea how I got that kept me off the course for a couple of years as well.

Hopefully we'll see some more  activity around here once the golf season gets into full swing!

Similar, I had an impingement, which got so bad I couldn't raise my arm above my shoulder. My wife had a frozen shoulder, so I know your pain. Excited to play again

What is with all these bum shoulders??  Now mine if starting to go.   It is the right one and when making a full turn with a wood it is hard to get in the correct position.  Weird thing, I have no problems with my irons.  HMMM.    I have not seen the email and have not been back here much since November or so of last year.  Seemed there were the same old posters and not much new traffic to the site.

Wonder what is possible to bring back the old zeal and zest this site used to have?

Gotten to the point where more things are broken that work.

I guess you know the world is changing when you and your friends sit around a table, talking about a buddy's trip, and end up taking about the surgeries you've either had or or going to have and the medications you are taking. The next time someone tells me, "Well it better than the alternative", I'm going to invite to stand in front of my first drive of the New Year (probably sometime in March).  But my eyes are so freakin' bad that I'd probably miss them anyway.

I haven't been at GO for a loooong time.  Nice to see some of the old names keeping a light buring in the window.

I really like the new look.

Such a shame, it used to e such a lively place, and Masters Week a busy time!

It has been years.  Had no idea this site was still a going concern.  Had to change my name a bit because I couldn't remember my old password.  Nice to see a few names that I remember from the old days.  My daughter starting playing travel softball about 5 years ago, and then when my boy started playing travel baseball, well that was about the end of my golf career.  But I just bought a couple of new clubs and I've got the itch to play once again.

Bertie Wooster!  Boy you're like a flash from the past.  It seems like everyone who is still around has lost most of their club ho-ing ways.  Guys who used to get a whole new rig every year now swap out a couple of clubs a season.  Maybe that's part of growing up.
