Topics I've Started

June 15, 2008... I'm there baby!!!!!

09 December 2007 - 10:00 PM

La Jolla in June, Tiger and Phil, US Open rough, slick greens, adult beverages, my favorite cigars, hot SoCal ladies...I've been waiting for this for a long time.  By the way, I got tickets.

Augusta Greens

31 March 2007 - 10:21 PM

Earlier this afternoon, The Golf Channel quoted that the stimp was 14.5. If this is correct, this is a f****** joke.  Most people have no real clue how fast that is.  Maybe they will get rid of the grass so they can pour concrete.

Tiger Question

22 August 2006 - 06:51 PM

Does Tiger have a very good friend (tour player) that lives in Scottsdale?  This would have to be a member of his inner circle, but I have no idea. Any ideas?

R7 TP weighting

18 June 2006 - 11:54 AM

I purchased an R7 from ebay.  It is in good shape, and it was a good value.  The only thing I didn't like was the weighting.  2(2) in the center, 2 in the heel, 12 in the toe.....WTF????  Because I have 2 R7 FW's and have tweaked the weights, I had some extra weights.  However, most stores don't carry many weights, so I had to use my extras.  I ended up with the following: 14 (2) Center 2 (Heel, Toe) Total 32 grams vs. the normal 24 grams(2,10,10,2).  If I'm correct, that brings it up to D7-D8 area.  It is a little heavy. This setup hits very, very, very low bullets.   Is that due to the heavy 14 centers? Would the 2,10,10,2 setup bring it up? What would happen with a 6,6,6,6 setup? What would happen with a 4,8,8,4 setup? What happens if you put the heavy weights into the heel & toe, and put the lighter weights in the center? Is there a websight that shows the combos? Thanks.

Are PING irons now made in China?

27 May 2006 - 01:00 AM

I knew my 54* Black Chrome Nickel was made in China.  However, I picked up my new 54* with the TS Grind(blasted finish) and a sticker said: Head: Made in China Shaft: Made in USA Assembled: USA It doesn't matter, but I was shocked.
